1. AGREEMENT TO TERMS

By downloading and using Homepact ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Homepact account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure.

3. WHAT HOMEPACT IS

Homepact is a household-coordination tool for organising bills, calendars, lists and shared responsibilities. It is not financial, legal, medical, or co-parenting advice, and is not a substitute for professional advice or for managing money, health, or legal matters directly.

4. THE SHARED HOUSEHOLD

Homepact is built around shared households. Data you add to a household (bills, lists, calendar, Pact cards) is visible to, and may be edited by, the other members of that household. Treat household invite codes carefully — anyone with your code can join and see your household's data. You are responsible for who you invite.

5. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree to use the App lawfully and not to: violate any applicable law; attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; or use it to transmit unsolicited or unauthorised advertising.

6. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND BILLING

Homepact offers a free tier and a paid subscription, Homepact+ (currently £3.99/month or £29/year, one price per household). In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms. A 14-day free trial is available to new subscribers; no charge is made during the trial, and if you do not cancel before it ends the subscription fee will be charged. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.

7. ACCOUNT DELETION

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. If you created a household that still has other members, deletion is refused until that is resolved, to protect the other members' data.

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Homepact and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our express written permission.

9. USER CONTENT

You are responsible for the content you add to the App. You must have the right to enter any information you add, including information about other members of your household.

10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Homepact shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

12. CHANGES TO TERMS

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will indicate changes by updating the date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
